Hot Latin Nights: NAHJ Bay Area’s first fundraiser

by Nathan Olivarez-Giles

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists Bay Area Chapter is hosting its first annual fundraiser, Hot Latin Nights, at El Techo de Lolinda in San Francisco on June 8.

Let the elevator whisk you up to a view you can’t get in Dolores Park. El Techo’s pan-Latin American cocktails reboot the familiar and dust off the obscure. You can get a margarita or a caipirinha, or try the Chilcano, a pisco-and-ginger-beer concoction that gets upgraded with bitters and fresh ginger syrup. It’s as fruity as it looks. Tequila fans shouldn’t overlook the subtler Mexican Firing Squad, made with Calle 23 Reposado.

Please join us for this festive networking event. Bay area journalists as well as Hugo Balta, the President of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, will be in attendance.

All proceeds go to their work to provide scholarships and training for local Latino journalists.

Tequila, Mezcal, Rum & Pisco tasting! Hor D’oeuvres, Music, Latino Art and more!

Tickets $40 in advance, purchase by June 5; or $50 at the door, cash only.

We will also be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win TWO United Airline tickets worth a total of $2,000 for ANYWHERE in the world United flies. As well as other great prizes.
